A very wise person once said, "time is what we want most, but what we use worst." The great equalizer is time. Every man has 24 hours in a day. That's 1,440 minutes to prioritize. And, according to another wise voice, "every second counts"... all 86,400 of them. If you want to put your time to good, godly use, open your bibles and see what the scriptures say about time management. It's not only a way to organize your schedule, but it's a way to bring peace to your home and glory to God.

Bible Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16 - Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Faith ApplicationCommit to praying every day this week and fasting one day a week. Pray when you want. Remember, you may not pray an hour a day but don't let an hour go by without communicating with God. On your fast day, fast whatever you feel, but let it be a sacrifice; let it be from the heart. Fast something that has become an idol in your life and takes up your time and your energy in place of moments with God. This week, complete the family activity and consider fasting something you find to be a time-waster in your life and spend that time in prayer.

Prayer Focus: This week, focus your prayers on allowing your time to bring glory to God. Ecclesiastes 3 says there is a time for everything; working, praying, planning, planting, uprooting, keeping, and even throwing away. There's a time to heal... and a time to kill. There is a time to build... and a time to tear down. Pray that you understand the season God has you in right now. And if walls are falling or if you're feeling uncomfortable in this season, pray that you can realize a season of brokenness is always followed by a season of hope and restoration. Prayer that God prepares your heart for the season to come and that you can make the best use of your time, whether building, planting, uprooting, or tearing down.

Family Activity: This week, let's complete an activity that tests your time management skills and identifies strengths and weaknesses in using Godly wisdom to manage every moment. Read through the 7 Biblical Keys to Good Time Management and then complete the attached activity either daily or on the day of your choosing. Compare with your family to find ways to put away self and make more time for God.
