To be a leader means to serve. Even the Son of Man, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Prince of Peace, sent his son to serve. "And whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:44-45) Jesus extended this same rationality to his disciples. "And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, 'If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all'" (Mark 9:35)
If you want to be a disciple of others, you can start with serving our church and our community. Ask a hostess or usher today how to get started in ministry by getting involved in our Next Steps series.
We provide links to our ministry partners. You can follow their progress and vision relating to Faith Temple and our community. Check out One Touch Ministries & CareHelp of Sulphur.
One Touch Ministries is a vision pioneered by SWLA local, Lana Hafner. This ministry reaches out to troops, homeless shelters, orphanages, human trafficking victims, and many more, reminding them that one touch from God is all you need.
Care Help of Sulphur is another local agency that has a mission to express the love of God through ministry to those in need by supplying short-term assistance and promoting life skills. Care-help is supported by many local churches including Faith Temple.
